We would like to inform and remind you regarding the immigration rules and regulations in regard to invite foreign-national students to come to Bali as an exchange student on a short course study program. Due to changes of regulations at the Indonesian Immigration Department, the visit visa with the purpose of “Short Course”, previously index B211A, now index number C9.     

The visit visa with the purpose of short course study is still single-entry and the initial stay permit for that visit visa is still 60-days and activated upon arrival. The stay permit can be extended 2x, (prolong for another 60-days for each extension)

The Student Visa (previously C316) and Research Visa (previously C315) are no longer available. The student visa is now categories as: 

– General Student Visa (elementary, high school student, diploma: index E30A)

– Bachelor Student Visa (index E30B)

– Master Student Visa (index E30C)

– Doctorate/P.hD Student Visa (index E30D)

Above visas have 1 year/ 2 years of stay permit and extendable. The Student Visa is suitable for foreign-nationals student who undergo undergraduate/graduate/post graduate program and they get an academic title (Degree program only).

Foreign-national students cannot enter Indonesia with a Visa on Arrival (VOA) if their purpose of visit as an exchange student/short course study.

This is a sponsored visit visa (sponsor: Udayana University), so you cannot neither apply for your short course study visit visa by yourself nor apply at the Indonesian embassy abroad.

STUDY’S VISA

Based on the latest immigration regulations 2024.  (PERMENKUMHAM No. 11 Tahun 2024 Tentang Perubahan Atas Peraturan Menteri Hukum dan Hak Asasi Manusia Nomor 22 tahun 2023 tentang visa dan izin tinggal)

IMMIGRATION LAW

UU no 6 Tahun 2011 tentang Keimigrasian

Guarantor shall mean people or Corporation that responsible for the presence and activities of the Foreigner during stay in the Indonesian Territory.

  1. Certain Foreigner who is present in the Indonesian Territory shall be obliged to have a Guarantor that warrants his/her
  2. The Guarantor shall be obliged on the presence and activities of Foreigner who is warranted while staying in the Indonesian Territory and shall be obliged to report every change in civil status, Immigration status, and change in

Every Foreigner who is present in the Indonesian Territory shall be obliged to:

    1. Provides all information required concerning personal identity and/or his/her families identity and report every change of civil status, citizenship, occupation, Guarantor, or change of address to local Office of Immigration;

Every Guarantor who is intentionally provides incorrect information or complies with no guarantee provided as contemplated in Article 63 paragraph (2) and paragraph (3) shall bepunished for a maximum of 5 (five) years or fine sentence at the maximum of Rp500,000,000.00 (five hundred million Rupiah).

A punishment of imprisonment shall be stipulated for a maximum of 5 (five) years and fine sentence at the maximum of Rp500,000,000.00 (five hundred million Rupiah) for:

  • Every Foreigner who intentionally misuses or carries out activities that are not in accordance with the purpose and objective of such Stay Permit provided;
  • Every person who ask or give the Foreigner a chance to misuse or carries out activities that are not in accordance with the purpose and objective of such Stay Permit provided.

VISA ON ARRIVAL / E-VOA / TOURISM VISA

Activities:

travel business trip / meeting purchase of goods government duties transit

Purpose of the Visa : Participate in comparative study activities, short courses and short training.

  1. Carrying out activities related to providing humanitarian assistance;
  2. Carrying out tourism-related activities, and visiting friends or family.
  1. Residing in the Indonesian territory beyond the stay permit period
  2. Engaging in the sale of goods or services                                     
  3. Receiving compensation, wages, or equivalent from individuals or corporations in Indonesia
  1. Obeying the laws and regulations
  2. Respecting customs, culture, and local wisdom
  3. Having sufficient living expenses while in Indonesia

 

  • Valid passport at least 12 months
  • Color photo size 3 x 4 ( recent photo)
  • Letter Of Acception issue by University

  • Address In Indonesia ( accomodation i f booked)

students do not need to send us the visa requirement documents because

we will receive the documents from the university, students only send us Lo A from university.

C9 is index of the visa.

 

“E-Visa must be used by”: this means that visa itself is valid 90 days from grant date. You must enter Indonesia as soon as your visa is granted or within 90 days (do not exceed the date of “e-visa must be used by). 

Your 60-days stay permit will be started when you land in Bali.
